Exhibitions - During Lifetime

1952
King exhibited two sculptures in the Abbey Art Centre Artists’ exhibition at the Berkeley Galleries.
1954
First solo exhibition at Victor Musgrave’s Gallery One in Soho, London from mid December 1953 to mid January 1954
1955
Four of King’s works included in New Sculptors, Painter-Sculptors at the ICA, London.
1956
Second solo exhibition at Gallery One.
The Thirteen Cantos of Hell first screened at the British Film Institute in London
1957

King showed selected works at Gallery One in London.

1961
Two miniature works made in the last period of King’s life were included in an exhibition of jewellery at the Victoria & Albert Museum, alongside works by his sister-in-law, the Viennese artists, Angela Varga, and King’s friend, Alan Davie.
2003
An excerpt from King’s animated film, The Thirteen Cantos of Hell , was shown at The Museum of London as part of the exhibition Creative Quarters, and the full film shown at a special screening.

Peter King 1928-1957: Sculpture and Works on Paper, a display in the library of the Henry Moore Institute, Leeds (November 2007 - February 2008).
